ENCOURAGING

‘DOING AS WELL AS VIEWING’

Every episode of Pop Paper City has a segment where Helping Hand helps the characters to build a crafty object, inspiring the audience at home to get Crafty too.

All crafts in each episode will be accessible and doable for little hands. However, some elements of Pop Paper City may be more advanced, therefore online and published content can support children in creating versions of their own Pop Paper City world. Everything within the world has been created to be replicated in paper, making it a truly accessible show.

WHY IS CRAFTING GOOD FOR KIDS?

MASTERING NEW SKILLS

Crafts with end products require a certain level of skill to complete, and every time a child learns a new skill whilst watching Pop Paper City it’s a boost to their confidence.

CREATIVITY

Crafting with an end product in mind fuels inner creative fire. New crafting techniques learnt watching Pop Paper City will inspire children to make things of their own accord

PERSERVERENCE

Some crafts which seem very simple to adults are tricky for little fingers, and it can take great perseverance to learn the new skills as mentioned above.

SELF-ESTEEM

Making something and finishing a project, then putting it on display at home boosts a child’s self esteem. They will be proud of what they’ve made whilst watching!

RELAXATION

Letting your mind focus on making something without pressure or stress allows your other thoughts to take a rest, helping you to achieve inner calm and relaxation.

STEM SKILLS

Many of the crafts within the show involve patterns, others involve building and construction. These help kids develop early math and creative problem-solving skills.
